You Pay a Deposit

 

When you make a booking with Gibbons Coaches, you must pay a deposit, only buy accepting/ agreeing on the Fair Trading Agreement. The deposit amount of £30.00 per person on all of our coach holidays. All monies paid to your Travel Agent are held by the person on behalf until you receive our confirmation

 

You Pay The Balance

 

The balance of the holiday must be at least  four weeks before departure date. If the balance is not paid in time we reserve the right to cancel your holiday, retain your deposit and apply cancellation charges see paragraph “ If you Cancel your Holiday”.  If you book within four weeks of departure date the full amount is due as soon as possible.

 

If You Change Your Booking

 

If, after confirmation is issued and you wish to change to another holiday we will do our utmost to make the changes provided alteration made by you later than the original balance date will be treated as a cancellation of the original booking that we are notified, not later than the date on which the balance of the original holiday balance was due for payment. . Any alterations made by you later than the original booking will be subject to cancellation charges as follows below.

 

If You Cancel Your Holiday

 

Alternatively, you have the right to transfer the booking to another person providing that they satisfy all the terms and conditions applicable to the package as long as you give the company at least seven days notification.  Both you and the person who wishes to transfer the booking will be responsible for any monies owing. If the reason for cancellation is covered under the terms of insurance policy you may be able to reclaim these charges.

 

Prior to 42 days before  - deposit only

 

28 – 42 days before  - 30% of holiday cost

 

14 – 27 days before – 45% of holiday cost

 

8 – 13 days before 100% 0f holiday cost

 

0 – 7  days before – 100 % of holiday cost

 

If You Have a Complaint

 

If you have a complaint during your holiday, please inform supplier of the service and the driver, also by using the questionnaires provided at the end of the journey.  Failure to establish your complaint it may affect the outcome of your holiday.

Failure to establish your complaint immediately in accordance with the above procedure may affect the outcome.

 

We Reserve Your Holiday

 

When you have provisionally booked your holiday with us over the telephone or by Post, when we receive your deposit then we will send out your Holiday Confirmation the contract is then made between us.

 

Your Holiday price

 

The price of your holiday is guaranteed and will not be subject to any surcharges except (fuel, Government action, including additional bonding or licensing requirements and Vat.). In all cases we reserve the right to pass these amounts on in full. Holiday prices include all coach travel, hotel accommodation and meals as specified in the holiday description . We reserve the right to increase or decrease holiday prices advertised but will not do so after your booking has been confirmed. The price that is agreed upon at the time of your booking is what you will be expected to pay regardless whether or not the price has increased or decreased.

 

If We Change Your Holiday

 

The arrangements for holidays in this brochure are made many months in advance and

Changes are sometimes unavoidable. Most of these changes are to be minor and our representatives or we will

Endeavour to keep you informed. Day excursions on all holidays may alter to those first planned, alternatives will

Be provided within the scope available.

However where before departure we have to alter significantly an essential term of this Contract, such as price,

Location of resort, quality of main (not including single over-night hotels on touring holidays), or tour itinerary

Changes involving a destination being eliminated we will notify you of the change as soon as possible. In such

Circumstances you will be given the following options-

(a) To accept changes to the contract.

(b) To take a substitute holiday of equivalent quality and value if we are able to offer you one.

(c) To take a substitute holiday of lower quality if we are able to offer you and we will refund you the difference.

(d) To repay you as soon as possible the price of your holiday.

 

If We Cancel Your Holiday

 

It is necessary for there to be a minimum number of passengers in order to operate a tour. If this minimum number is not achieved by 2 Weeks prior to departure date therefore we may cancel your holiday.  Should this occur we will return to you all the money paid to us,  or offer you a suitable alternative .

 

Compensation

 

This will only apply if we may cancel your holiday one Week prior to departure date.

(a) We will return to you in full your payment for your holiday

NB. No other claims for compensation or expenses will be considered.

 

Adverse Weather Conditions

 

Due to unforeseen weather conditions a holiday may be cancelled at short notice.  If this should happen customers will be contacted as soon as possible.  A substitute holiday of equivalent value may be offered. No Cash refunds will be offered.

 

Our  Responsibility To You

 

We accept responsibility for ensuring that all component parts of your holiday as described In this brochure are supplied to you to a reasonable standard and this includes excursions.

                 (!) Please remember that some amenities require servicing and cleaning and may not therefore be available

                    at all times. Some services may be affected by weather, road or traffic conditions .

                  (!) Entertainment provided by the hotels may be varied if there is a lack of demand or insufficient numbers

                     staying in the hotel.

 

Personal Injury

 

(Whilst participating in arrangements made by us) Gibbons Coaches Ltd has taken all reasonable and proper steps to ensure that proper arrangements have been made for all the holidays advertised in this Brochure including excursions and the suppliers of these services are efficient, safe and reputable and that they comply with the local and national laws and regulations.

 

Baggage and Personal Luggage

 

Every effort will be made to look after your personal luggage, but they are carried at owners risk. It is however your responsibility to see that your luggage is on the correct coach.  Assistance with handling will be rendered whenever practical, but the responsibility remains with you at pick up points, feeder transfers, hotels to ensure that your baggage and personal luggage is correctly labelled and they have been placed on the correct coach or Mini bus.

 

Data Protection Act

In order to process your booking and to ensure that your travel arrangements run smoothly and meet your requirements we, and your travel agent, need to use the information you provide such as name, address, any special needs/dietary requirements etc. We take full responsibility for ensuring that proper measures are in place to protect your information. We must pass the information on to the relevant suppliers of your travel arrangements such as hotels, transport companies etc. The information may also be supplied to security or credit card checking companies, public authorities such as customs/ immigration if required by them, or as required by law. We will not, however, pass information on to any person not responsible for part of your holiday arrangements. This applies to any sensitive information that you give to us such as details of any disabilities or dietary/ religious requirements. In making this booking you consent to this information being passed on to the relevant persons. Please note that where information is held by your travel agent, this is subject to your agent’s own data protection policy. Your data controller is Gibbons Coaches. You are entitled to a copy of your information held by us. If you would like to see this, please contact us.

 

We retain your full contact details and other information in secure files and electronic storage facilities, we may use this information to contact you by mail, telephone or electronic means.

Normally when you book travel arrangements on this web site your agreement is with Gibbons Coaches or we will make it clear if Gibbons Coaches is acting as an agent for another travel provider.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS - DELETION OF ACCOUNT

Gibbons Coaches reserves the right to delete accounts that have been incorrectly set up, abused or used for fraudulent purposes or where a client has been denied travel for whatever reason.

Any account found to have been set up after we have deleted an account further to travel being denied, will again have that account deleted and any monies paid into said account shall be refunded less an administrative fee.
